JMS was born to a German immigrant couple which was born in what is Southwestern Germany today https://de.findagrave.com/memorial/164037148/christof-schneider and https://de.wikipedia.org/wiki/Unteröwisheim The father stemmed from what is the State of Baden-Württemberg today, the mother from the State of Hesse. Contrary to what the company tells the potential customer, the family never stemmed from any Pennsylvania Dutch. Especially the archetypal Dutch woman's head on the billboards is misleading as the were ethnic Germans and not ethnic Dutch. As JMS and his wife married at the New Jerusalem Church in Berlin (today: Kitchener), Ontario, it is more than just likely that they were Swedenborgians which are not and never were counted to the Pennsylvania Dutch. — Preceding unsigned comment added by 2003:C0:DF09:ED00:B4F0:2A8C:CEAD:5DAA (talk) 14:49, 29 March 2021 (UTC)[reply]
