Johnny Martino → John Martino – While informally/affectionately known in show business circles as "Johnny", this actor's stage name is "John" and is listed as such in his screen credits as well as at IMDb, Film Institute Catalog, AllMovie, TVGuide and other actor listings. —Roman Spinner (talk)(contribs) 12:10, 16 August 2017 (UTC)
- Oppose all refs to "John Martino" in books appear to be to John Martino (writer). In ictu oculi (talk) 16:01, 16 August 2017 (UTC)
- Comment. Following the creation of the John Martino (writer) entry [after the submission of this nomination], !voters may decide to convert the existing (since January 1, 2006) John Martino redirect which, as of this writing, points to Johnny Martino, into a disambiguation page with John Martino (actor) and John Martino (writer). It should be noted that the original title of the actor's entry on January 1, 2006 was, in fact, John Martino. A second option is that a sufficient number of !voters conclude that the actor is the WP:PRIMARYTOPIC. —Roman Spinner (talk)(contribs) 16:51, 16 August 2017 (UTC)
- Move to John Martino (actor) per above, and create a dab page at base title. On brief research, no single person can be identified as the WP:PRIMARYTOPIC. John Martino, a Cuban implicated in the assassination of Kennedy, is indeed mentioned in several books such as [1], and it appears it's indeed our John Martino (writer). Also, there's US official John T. Martino who has held significant posts and might be notable enough [2][3]. No such user (talk) 10:23, 17 August 2017 (UTC)
- Support this alternative proposal. A couple of quick googles on "Johnny+Martino"+Godfather+-Wikipedia "Johnny Martino" Godfather -Wikipedia (I get 599 ghits) and "John Martino" Godfather -Wikipedia (I get 21,400) show that in this role at least he's just plain John.
