60% of population suffered an increase in infant mortality during the British Mandate?
[edit]Not proven: the 201 figure from 1920s included all communities, the 1945 figure was for Muslims only. i.e. it is possible that infant mortality was always higher in that (rural) community. It would be fair to say that the figure did not improve during the three decades of British rule. Likewise the implication that sexualy transmitted diseases became endemic over the same period might be due to lack of information or tactful omission by Britannica.Padres Hana (talk) 21:15, 26 March 2014 (UTC)
