Controversy
[edit]Can we not remember The Macleod for more than a little controversy over his fund raising ideas? What about all the work he did during his lifetime for the good of the Clan Macleod? —Preceding unsigned comment added by AndrewJFulker (talk • contribs) 15 August 2007
References
[edit]Why is there both a reference added and a citation needed tag here, what does it mean. Does it mean the reference needs to be removed? Does the reference attached to the word "Grandmother" mean that he had a grandmother, but we don't know her name. What is going on? Does the citation tag mean the date is in question? A little help please. "Maternal Grandmother:[2] Dame Flora MacLeod of MacLeod (1878–1976)[citation needed]"
- Just citations for the dates, i think. Unless you see a problem.--Brianann MacAmhlaidh (talk) 07:30, 23 November 2009 (UTC)
- Aren't we using the dates from the original article linked to? Her obituary is used in the original article. --Richard Arthur Norton (1958- ) (talk) 08:22, 23 November 2009 (UTC)
- The obit doesn't seem to be freely viable (for me at least). Anyways, i got the dates sourced.--Brianann MacAmhlaidh (talk) 08:33, 23 November 2009 (UTC)

Tami
[edit]Two editors, FloraMacLeod and Kallista1, have added that MacLeod had a daughter out of wedlock, named Tami. This has been contested by another editor, Jimayars, with the edit summary "No such details exist in the reference cited. Author of this line is running a scam, interjecting herself into the family history for her own purposes". Per Wikipedia:Verifiability, unless a good source mentions a Tami, or an illegitimate daughter, then we shouldn't either.--Brianann MacAmhlaidh (talk) 07:42, 21 September 2012 (UTC)
- This had been added again by 184.10.241.191 I have removed it. AndrewJFulker (talk) 22:29, 30 December 2012 (UTC)
- And added twice more by 173.85.38.53 - removed by another helpful editor and myself. AndrewJFulker (talk) 23:29, 14 February 2013 (UTC)
