[edit]I would say that John Leo Blair is a notable individual. I recommend creating an article about his company, Blair, which is a nationally known large retail mail-order company, and then merging the article about Mr. Blair into the article about the Company. - Fredtorrey
Authors comment - Wikipedia presents many articles on significant people in history. John L. Blair helped elect one of America's greatest presidents. He submitted ideas to the U. S. Treasury Department which were enacted immediately. He was offered a job as special assistant to the Treasury Department. He was a longtime friends of both Supreme Court Justice Robert H. Jackson, one of our most famous jurists, and of Cardinal Spellman, America's most famous Cardinal.
John Blair contributed significantly to American culture and to its recovery from the Great Depression. What greater credentials could one man have to deserve a place on Wikipedia? This is a story about an American success story, a man who far surpassed the average American in his successes and in his contribution to American society.
I feel the story should stand as is, or with minimal edits.
