I'll do this one, comments to follow. Zawed (talk) 09:33, 2 February 2019 (UTC) Infobox[reply]

  • No issues

Lead

  • No issues spotted, other than a minor typo that I corrected.

Early life

  • I replaced his given name with his surname, but other than that this section looks fine.

World War I

  • "...with the heavier Australian's Mills bombs being out-ranged...": a stray possessive here. Suggest "...with the heavier Mills bombs used by the Australians being outranged...
  • "Ultimately, the sentence was suspended.": anything in the sources about this? I assume it is because of his status as a VC recipient but would be nice to be clear on this if the sources can support it.

Later life

  • Is there information on the current whereabouts of the VC?

References

  • Staunton not cited so should be in a further reading section if it is to remain.
  • The year of the 1937 Bean reference doesn't need the "a" disambiguator.

Other stuff

  • Two dab links but these appear to be appropriate
  • One dupe link, World War I in early life section
  • External links check out OK
  • Images appear to have a appropriate licence tags

Other than the above, this looks good for promotion. Cheers, Zawed (talk) 10:06, 2 February 2019 (UTC)[reply]

I reckon I've got all these, Zawed. I am waiting on a library copy of Staunton to check that I haven't missed anything. Here are my edits. Thanks for taking a look at it. Peacemaker67 (click to talk to me) 10:21, 2 February 2019 (UTC)[reply]
I should add that there is nothing in the sources about why his sentence was suspended, but I agree it was probably because of his VC. Nothing I can find about the whereabouts of the VC, not at the AWM anyway. Probably with the family I expect. Peacemaker67 (click to talk to me) 10:24, 2 February 2019 (UTC)[reply]
G'day Zawed, just checking you've seen this. I've done as much as I can without Staunton, although Blanch and Pegram have probably captured everything, I will check Staunton for completeness before ACR. Cheers, Peacemaker67 (click to talk to me) 03:38, 9 February 2019 (UTC)[reply]
Yes, this looks all good to me, passing as GA since I consider the article meets the necessary criteria. Cheers, Zawed (talk) 22:46, 9 February 2019 (UTC)[reply]
