B-Class

[edit]

I have rated this article B-Class:

  •  Done The article is suitably referenced, with inline citations where necessary.
Excellently referenced!
  •  Done The article reasonably covers the topic, and does not contain obvious omissions or inaccuracies.
  •  Done The article has a defined structure.
Logically organized and straight forward structure.
  •  Done Content should be organized into groups of related material, including a lead section and all the sections that can reasonably be included in an article of its kind.
  •  Done The article is reasonably well-written.
  •  Done The prose contains no major grammatical errors and flows sensibly, but it certainly need not be "brilliant". The Manual of Style need not be followed rigorously.
My only complaint is that the lead paragraph feels a little awkward... but that is easy to fix.
  •  Done The article contains supporting materials where appropriate
There are three photographs that support the text.
  •  Done The article presents its content in an appropriately accessible way

Still has problems

[edit]

For example: "Committee of Safety, led by Lorrin A. Thurston and Sanford B. Dole" conflicts with sources that say the committee was led by Henry E. Cooper. Probably confusing events of 1887 and the annexation with the overthow itself. It needs either much work or should be downgraded to level C in my opinion. This piece was edited quite a bit by another editor since I last looked in on it. I'll try to check some of what was added (and subtracted) when I return from a break. MarmadukePercy (talk) 23:43, 19 August 2010 (UTC)[reply]
