Attributed quote
[edit]"No man has a right to choose his religion. I say Jesuit-controlled Catholicism is the most intolerant of creeds. It is intolerance itself. We might as rationally maintain that two and two does not make four as the theory of religious liberty. Its impiety is only equalled by its absurdity." This has been stated by Hughes according to researcher Eric Jon Phelps. Phelps also says he used to be called "Dagger" John. Obviously, we will need a reliable source in order to include mention of any of this. __meco (talk) 13:58, 17 October 2008 (UTC)
Orphaned references in John Hughes (archbishop)
[edit]I check pages listed in Category:Pages with incorrect ref formatting to try to fix reference errors. One of the things I do is look for content for orphaned references in wikilinked articles. I have found content for some of John Hughes (archbishop)'s orphans, the problem is that I found more than one version. I can't determine which (if any) is correct for this article, so I am asking for a sentient editor to look it over and copy the correct ref content into this article.

I apologize if any of the above are effectively identical; I am just a simple computer program, so I can't determine whether minor differences are significant or not. AnomieBOT⚡ 09:00, 1 January 2010 (UTC)
