[edit]It is not accurate that the Parade of Lost Souls event takes place in the park, and the citation is an "advertorial" type travel site. This should be removed. HurricaneKelsey (talk) 21:59, 28 February 2017 (UTC)

Suggested Name Migration to "Trout Lake (Vancouver, British Columbia)"
[edit]Living in the Vancouver area for several years, I have literally never heard anyone refer to this lake as 'John Hendry Park'. When looking for the wiki page for the park known universally as Trout Lake—including amongst folks who have lived here their entire lives—I actually initially thought it didn't have one, due to the chosen page name. I'm going to suggest that the page be migrated to 'Trout Lake (Vancouver, British Columbia)'. This move would be in line with WP:NAME which states that "Wikipedia does not necessarily use the subject's official name as an article title; it generally prefers the name that is most commonly used".
I also note that the pages Trout Lake (British Columbia) and Trout Lake, British Columbia exist, for a lake in the Kootenays and a town near the lake respectively. I've suggested on those pages that the former page be renamed to Trout Lake (West Kootenays, British Columbia), whilst the page for the town remains at its current site. This would be in line with the naming standard use for US towns and features with the same name within a single state, which are disambiguated by county, e.g. Trout Lake (Arietta, Hamilton County, New York) and Trout Lake (Warren County, New York) Hitoubashira (talk) 21:01, 22 July 2024 (UTC)
This is a stub article so I will be doing this in a few days unless there are any objections. — Preceding unsigned comment added by Hitoubashira (talk • contribs) 21:03, 22 July 2024 (UTC)
