Citations needed
[edit]There are no inline citations. Editors who worked on this article, please add them. Thanks, Wordreader (talk) 02:41, 24 September 2012 (UTC)
- Inline citations are not required for short bios, up to start class. The info is mostly from the Congressional Biographical Dictionary. It is not helpful, and makes editing difficult, to add the same source as a reference after each sentence. Please read the guidelines, at WP:MoS. Kraxler (talk) 00:44, 28 September 2012 (UTC)
- Hello - I checked the Manuel of Style WP:MoS page you referenced and searched for "inline", "citation", "reference", "short bio", "biography", and "biographies" without finding anything that states that inline citations aren't needed as you say. Please clarify. So how can follow-on editors know what sources you were using for what information unless you say so? I don't think you need to add a citation after each sentence, by the way, just after each topic or change of reference: "early life", "military career", "Battle of Minisink Ford", "political career", etc. Thanks, Wordreader (talk) 22:33, 8 October 2012 (UTC)
