State atheism needs a reassessment of its Importance level, as it has little to do with atheism and is instead an article about anti-theist/anti-religious actions of governments.

FOR This article only contains one fact, that he is an associate professor of anesthesiology at the State University of New York, and the rest is personal commentary, or not supported by reliable sources. Overthinkingly (talk) 21:33, 4 June 2009 (UTC)[reply]
The article isn't eligible to be prodded, as proposed deletion was opposed in the past. I have checked and I do believe that there are sufficient reliable sources to justify the article's existence. What is needs is proper referencing, not deletion, which I will do ASAP. Thanks --ThaddeusB (talk) 23:33, 4 June 2009 (UTC)[reply]
There's really not enough out there for internet sources or book sources to establish a basis for an article. We can only use his works. Also, I should have noted that there was a prod in the history, but I kind-of ignored it as it was the latest edit. Overthinkingly (talk) 00:07, 5 June 2009 (UTC)[reply]
You can always take it to AfD if you want, but I think it is pretty clear from Google books and Google Scholar (not every link is him, but most are) that he has had a significant impact on both his professional field and on Atheist thought. Given that, I am sure there are some usable sources written about him out there - it is just a question of finding them. Remember, Wikipedia has no deadline. --ThaddeusB (talk) 01:32, 5 June 2009 (UTC)[reply]
