Citation need re birthplace

There needs to be citations to his birthplace which in the infobox is stated to be Tong in Shropshire. However there is reason to doubt it: his parents leased Tong Castle from the Earl of Bradford from 1856, when JTH would have been 7 years old, having previously lived in Wolverhampton where his father was a partner in the ironworks run by his wife's family the Thorneycrofts, and served as Mayor in 1858. He remained as tenant of Tong Castle until his death in 1884. In the absence of evidence supporting Tong as a birthplace, it is easier to believe he grew up at Tong rather than born there. A report from the Shropshire Star dated 22 July 2020, quotes a descendant, Ms Sarah Norton, stating that from family research she learned that JTH was born at an address in Wolverhampton that the family lived in before coming to Tong.Cloptonson (User talk:Cloptonson) 12:54, 23 July 2020 (UTC)[reply]

On the strength of the published newspaper report, I have formed the idea of substituting Wolverhampton, Staffordshire, for Tong in the infobox, while accounting with a little more detail in the Family section. Any objections?Cloptonson (talk) 13:41, 23 July 2020 (UTC)[reply]

I have raised citation need against the alleged birthplace in the infobox to encourage a check of published evidence - I question not the date but the place for reasons given above.Cloptonson (talk) 07:47, 27 January 2021 (UTC)[reply]
