John Grimes (bishop) → ? – Insufficient disambiguation with John Grimes (New Zealand bishop). I'm not familiar with the naming convention for these.
- John Grimes (New York bishop), since his diocese was in the American state of New York?
- John Grimes (Irish bishop), since he was born in Ireland?
Also consider:
- John Grimes (British bishop), since Ireland was not independent at the time?
- John Grimes (American bishop), though the article makes no mention of him obtaining American citizenship. 162 etc. (talk) 17:50, 23 July 2024 (UTC)
- support John grimes (Bishop of Syracuse) as he was the Bishop of Syracuse 173.72.3.91 (talk) 18:14, 23 July 2024 (UTC)
- OP comment I've discovered that we have the naming convention WP:BISHOP, which prefers the form John Grimes (bishop of Syracuse). That means that the other article should also move, to John Grimes (bishop of Christchurch). I support both of these moves, which should be uncontroversial. 162 etc. (talk) 18:51, 23 July 2024 (UTC)
