John George’s issue or offspring.
[edit]Per the Visitation of Glaucester 1682/83, John George had only one daughter, Elizabeth, who married but died in or shortly after childbirth. There is much written about her, not the least of which among the Cirencester church documents. There’s also a well researched book on the history of Baunton. But the Visitation document referenced above, of which I obtained a cooy from the Yale University Library, further states that because John George had no sons, the ancient wealth of the George estate was passed to his nephiew Charles George.
Therefor it stands to reason he would not a son, let alo e five.
No doubt another man or men named John George in the area had sons, but just not this John George, the member of Parliament addressed here.
That said, I would be interrsted to know of any source data or evidence to support the contary.
