No Piglet in Pokemon ?

[edit]

Why is everyone saying that the late John Fiedler was in Pokemon ?

See number 16 in his filmography list on imdb.com (http://imdb.com/name/nm0275835/). It seems he was a narrator in the American version of some episodes from 1997-1999, although the entry is vague.--Daniel 02:17, 25 November 2006 (UTC)[reply]
I just took out the tag. The Pokemon claim is completely false (the series didn't even debut in the US until 1998), and the narrator has never been Fiedler. Another IMDb user-submitted nonsense. -- Aleal (talk) 06:11, 2 January 2008 (UTC)[reply]

I can't fix it at the moment, but leaving out his role as Woody in Buffalo Bill is pretty bad. Definitely one of his best.

Star Trek performance

[edit]

I've removed the following line: "His most often-viewed appearance is undoubtably his episode of the original Star Trek: "Wolf in the Fold"." Not just because undoubtably isn't a word, but because it's an unverifiable claim (and probably not true, but that probably is neither here nor there). 83.70.254.142 (talk) 12:33, 7 March 2010 (UTC)[reply]

One of the obituaries and references both used as citations in the article mention that John Fiedler was in the Star Trek episode: "Wolf in the Fold". If anything this is verifiable. Thank you-RFD (talk) 17:33, 7 March 2010 (UTC)[reply]
According to the OED, undoubtable ("vndoubtabil") goes back at least as far as 1425. Even if the OED didn't list it, it would still follow the rules of English logogenesis -- a word that does not appear in the OED, but is a perfectly legitimate neologism. Learns what?

[edit]

"In 1988, Fiedler was the Narrator of a McDonald's commercial where Birdie the early bird learns to..." Learns to what? Eat a whole large box of fries? WilliamSommerwerck (talk) 10:45, 31 March 2012 (UTC)[reply]

Why is this article locked?

To protect the article from vandalism. Cyphoidbomb (talk) 07:00, 5 June 2014 (UTC)[reply]
Someone who died 9 years ago, and is best known for being on Star Trek in the 1960s?
Why do vandals even know who he is?

Hi 99.238.74.216, Fielder is also known as the voice of Winnie-the-Pooh's BFF, Piglet. A New Jersey-based IP user, who appears to attend a school for students with behavioral disabilities, has taken a shine to Winnie-the-Pooh, and all things Pooh-related. He or she has previously attempted to take ownership of various articles. They haven't demonstrated any ability to be reasoned with, and their edits are massively disruptive even if that is not their intention. If the protection is bothersome to you, (or "Oh bother-some" as Pooh might've said,) you might want to consider creating an account, making constructive edits to pages unrelated to this one and becoming auto-confirmed, which means that you'll have a little more latitude in your edits than you would as an IP user. You need to make at least 10 constructive edits (although more constructive edits would be nice) and you must wait 4 days. If that's not appealing, you can use the {{Edit semi-protected}} template to ask for auto-confirmed users to help make the changes. Create a new section, paste the template, then explain exactly what you want to be changed in a "Please change X to Y" format. Provide references, then sign your post with four tildes (~~~~). Hope that helps, Cyphoidbomb (talk) 02:21, 6 June 2014 (UTC)[reply]
What about blocking him and leaving the article in peace?
Isn't that the more obvious course of action?
Just wondering, 99.238.74.216 (talk) 07:24, 7 June 2014 (UTC)[reply]
Several of the IPs he's used have been blocked, to little avail. Protecting the articles prevented the vandalism. Cyphoidbomb (talk) 16:09, 7 June 2014 (UTC)[reply]

Unlisted role

[edit]

John Fiedler also held the role of Claude Miller in the Bonanza episode "Rich Man, Poor Man" (season 4, episode 32). Distinctive voice aside, he's listed in the end credits. You can watch it on YouTube at https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Wn1TnD8XtdI&list=PLH28fp1h3XdxBhJ5N20SIpgIA0IJXZjlf&index=90 . 98.17.11.119 (talk) 16:14, 25 June 2015 (UTC)[reply]
