Illinois Treasurer-John F. Smulski
[edit]The office of Illinois Treasurer is one of the elective, constitutional offices of the state of Illinois. John F. Smulka served as Illinois Treasurer for 2 years and would be considered notable. He also served on the Chicago City Council. Chicago is one of the largest cities in the United States. name
[edit]I cleaned up his article and looked him up on ancestry.com, as well as the cited Tribune article online, since I was troubled by the apparent misspelling in the previous note. At the risk of seeming snooty, the "a" ending on Polish surnames indicates female. I have seen his name, however, spelled both "Smolski" and "Smulski".Jweaver28 (talk) 23:20, 11 December 2019 (UTC)
