need revision concerning Delaware

[edit]

For Delaware, I find:

"Delaware Turnpike, a tolled section of Interstate 95 and Interstate 295 in Delaware"

Several things to be noted: I think the signs there do say I-95 (between Md. border & I-295 split) is the John F. Kennedy Memorial Highway. As is the case with Maryland Northeastern Expressway, Delaware Turnpike was a name of part of that road until not long after JFK assassination, which had happened just a week after JFK had stood at the Del.-Md. border at the dedication. I-295 was not part of the turnpike; there used to be a tiny "TURNPIKE ENDS" sign if you continued on I-95 N-bound or went onto I-295 N-bound in Delaware. Also, except at the Delaware Memorial Bridge, I-295 is not a toll road in Delaware. And all Delaware ramp tolls were removed in 1976. — Preceding unsigned comment added by 128.63.16.20 (talk) 21:11, 13 July 2012 (UTC)[reply]
