Tyo and Practo are given as sources for the fact that Dr. Ebnezar is the first orthopedic surgeon from Karnataka to receive the Padma Shri. I am not doubting the truth of the claim, only the source. These two websites are self-promotion sites and as such can not stand as independent confirmation of the claims made in the article.
