Notability tag

[edit]

In creating this article (a stub) I have offered 3 external links and 5 references how many more should be added to meet notability? --Talskiddy (talk) 20:02, 14 October 2009 (UTC)[reply]

It's not really about references (you've done well there), it's about whether the person is notable; the guidelines are at Wikipedia:Notability (people). This is an unusual subject for an article, and I think it's borderline whether it meets the guidelines. However, it is well-written and well-referenced. I've looked into this further, and I think it does, just about, meet the guidelines:

1. The person has received a notable award or honor, or has been often nominated for one. 2. The person has made a widely recognized contribution that is part of the enduring historical record in his or her specific field so I've removed the tag. Boleyn3 (talk) 20:30, 14 October 2009 (UTC)[reply]
