Substantial error...
[edit]I believe there is a substantial error here. Capgrave's Nova Legenda is, I think, now accepted as a mere revision of the Sanctilogium Angliae, Walliae, Scotiae et Hiberniae of John of Tynemouth (1290-1349), a Benedictine of St.Alban’s.
I hesitate to make any change in the text, as I am very far from an expert on this matter. But perhaps this post will attract the attention of persons who do have such expertise.
