Disputed identity - worth checking out
[edit]I kindly point out that he is identified with two different John Bromleys who went to different universities, Oxford (according to Thompson Cooper in the 19th century Dictionary of National Biography) and Shrewsbury and Magadalen College Cambridge according to Venn. The Oxford title deserves checking in Foster's Alumni Oxoniensis, which, from memory of reading it decades ago, ascribes his parentage to a Warwickshire family.Cloptonson (talk) 18:21, 30 December 2021 (UTC)
