[edit]I don't particularly like it either, not all that fitting of a Premier. That said, when we have to deal with the likes of people such as Damiens.rf, we don't have much choice. Timeshift (talk) 08:30, 24 October 2008 (UTC)
- What do you mean we don't much choice? What's to stop us from still using Image:John bannon.jpg? (This is an honest question, not a rhetorical one). Peter Ballard (talk) 08:50, 24 October 2008 (UTC)
- Because Damiens.rf is a........ Timeshift (talk) 08:52, 24 October 2008 (UTC)
- And how does that stop us reverting his edits? Peter Ballard (talk) 08:55, 24 October 2008 (UTC)
- Had a stroll through the SA Premier and PM pages lately? Timeshift (talk) 08:56, 24 October 2008 (UTC)
- Then we'll whack them all on our watchlists and do our bit to end the madness.--Yeti Hunter (talk) 12:03, 24 October 2008 (UTC)
- Good luck, I wish you well! Timeshift (talk) 15:15, 24 October 2008 (UTC)
We shouldn't use the copyright restricted image. We have lots of free alternatives. Pick your favorite one:
Let's do some pic search instead of siting down and complain (or using copyright restricted pics). --Damiens.rf 16:41, 24 October 2008 (UTC)
- I have solved this problem by uploading an cropped version of your image here Image:John Bannon.jpg which should suffice until a more appropriate image can be found. Hope this is to your liking, Damien. Also, care to remove this highly inappropriate image from the Table service, Waiting staff and Tray pages? Please, lets have some respect for living people here and portray them in the light befitting their positions and achievements. ABVS1936 (talk) 17:08, 24 October 2008 (UTC)
- What's so unrespectful? Do you think politicians are more noble than other professions? --Damiens.rf 17:55, 24 October 2008 (UTC)
- No, I mean that taking the image of a politician out of context and placing it on pages that have no relation to the subject is disrespectful. Please have some respect for a man who was the longest serving Premier of South Australia, among other things, and don't misuse an image of him clearly taken out of context. ABVS1936 (talk) 18:46, 24 October 2008 (UTC)
- Technically Bannon wasn't actually the longest serving Premier, he's second. First is Playford/Playmander. Timeshift (talk) 01:34, 25 October 2008 (UTC)
- Sorry, my bad - shows that I should check what I have written more carfully before clicking "Save page"! Was supposed to read one of the longest serving Premiers - thanks for the pick up. Back on topic, it does seem like we have come to a consensus regarding the way in which these images are being used. ABVS1936 (talk) 03:41, 25 October 2008 (UTC)
