Notability of John Alexander Third
[edit]Hi @Hughesdarren:: It's true that John Alexander Third is not a well known academic. But I think he meets some of the criteria of notability under WP:NACADEMIC:
- Criteria 3 and 6: JA Third not only was member of the Edinburgh Mathematical Society from 1897, but he also was his president from 1902.
- Criteria 1: He published not less than 8 papers in the Proceedings of the Edinburgh Mathematical Society. See list here
- Finaly, the university of Aberdeen awards the DR. J A THIRD PRIZE every year. See the list of last recipients here
So, I think JA Third meets enough notability.--Ferran Mir (talk) 19:35, 30 March 2019 (UTC)
- Fair enough, tag removed under criteria 3. Regards Hughesdarren (talk) 22:39, 30 March 2019 (UTC)
