Concerning notability, it is as notable in South African history as Lubyanka is in Russian history, and it is frequently referred to in books, do deserves an article. SteveH (talk) 06:00, 17 January 2011 (UTC)
Contradicts other article
[edit]The Steve Biko article discusses how he was held in Port Elizabeth first then moved to a hospital prison facility in Pretoria, not Johannesburg. We probably need a sourced citation here, or removal of this information, which I followed from a trivia item on IMDb I hoped to be confirmed or denied here. --Dhartung | Talk 07:13, 21 September 2013 (UTC)
Title
[edit]The Johannesburg central police station is based in what was known as John Vorster Square. It was not called John Vorster Square.Royalcourtier (talk) 06:26, 9 June 2016 (UTC)
NPOV
[edit]The allegation that the station "was a notorious site of interrogation, torture and abuse by the South African Security Police of apartheid resistance fighters" is emotive, inaccurate, biased and clearly violates Wikipedia standards.Royalcourtier (talk) 06:40, 9 June 2016 (UTC)
Factual errors corrected
[edit]The article contained factual errors with regard to the number of detainees who died in John Vorster Square, which I took the liberty of correcting. --Stephen J Marais (talk) 08:55, 22 July 2017 (UTC)
