Printing attribution incorrect
[edit]Johannes van der Kemp did not print the 8 page translated letter from the LMS.
He is mentioned in the letter with Kicherer, Edwards and Edmond as a brother and missionary (they would have been distributing the letter I expect) but was not as the author (appears to be the secretary of the LMS) or printer who is is indicated on the first page as V: A: SCHOONBERG and other sources suggest that Schoonberg was making use of what was perhaps still the only printing press at the Cape belonging to Johann Christian Ritter
The source used here (a student quality news agent encyclopedia) is likely confusing Kemp and Ritter who is quoted as having had a small hand press.
The references for Ritter below are early source materials that seem to agree fairly well in matters relating to printing. The Early Cape Printing reference includes the facsimile of the letter that clearly shows the names Kemp and Schoonberg.
