[edit]i just finished watching an interview with Ms. Ray, and unless she's outrageously pretentious, she isn't American--her accent suggests that she is British, originally. I don't know the specifics of Ms. Ray's personal history, but someone who does should update this entry to do her justice. Alanrobts (talk) 23:52, 27 May 2015 (UTC)
- Johanna Bennett is indeed British. Her father was a general in the British army and he initially refused permission for her to travel to the States with Aldo Ray in 1959. I suspect the source for the wiki page probably comes from her having most likely taken American citizenship upon Marrying Ray in 1960. The article should more correctly say British/American Captainbeecher1 (talk) 11:22, 21 January 2023 (UTC)
