Feedback from Elysia

[edit]

Hi Lotukka, nice work so far! I reorganized and tidied up a little bit--you skipped the first level for the sections. All main sections are done with the "heading" style, and all subsections are done by adding subsection 1, and subsections of subsections are subsection 2, and so on. I also removed your first section. Wikipedia articles begin with what's called a lead paragraph. The lead sits on top of the table of contents; having it under a section title will make it so there is no lead. A few things you could fix:

  • Move the references to after your punctuation per MOS:REFPUNCT. This is really easy to do in visual editor. Just click and drag them to after the punctuation. It should be something like this:
    • Editing Wikipedia is fun.[1]
  1. ^ www.wikipedia.com
  • I retitled your "links" section to "external links," which is what you normally see in a Wikipedia article (MOS:LAYOUT).
  • It's fine to have the link to her website in the external links section, but you shouldn't include search engine result links like the one to Google scholar (WP:ELNO).
  • Per MOS:BOLDLEAD, you should make the first "Mari Johanna Ivaska" bold formatted :)

Good job so far, let me know if you have questions about any of this feedback! Elysia (Wiki Ed) (talk) 17:39, 21 November 2018 (UTC)[reply]

Hi Lotukka,

This article looks really great - the sections are clear, well-linked, and the formatting looks great. Once you have incorporated Elysia's edits, I think you should publish this! Excellent work! Will (Wiki Ed) (talk) 18:05, 26 November 2018 (UTC)[reply]
