Category:People executed for crimes against humanity

[edit]

Someone added the above category to this entry. I have removed it.

The guy was executed for plotting to blow up railway bridges. Plotting to blow up railway bridges is a bad thing to do - well I think it is. I quite like trains. But I do not know of any jurisdiction where plotting to blow up railway bridges would be construed as a crime against humanity.

However, I don't know everything. Please can someone let me know if I'm missing something obvious here!

The rail bridge in question carried passenger trains. Passenger trains carry people. If the bridge is gone because someone has blown it up, the train will fall. If the train falls, the passengers will die. Killing people is generally regarded as a crime. 'Humanity' is a collective term for people. Blowing up the bridge leads to trains full of people dying which is a crime against humanity.
If this is still too complex for you, please let me know 2601:18F:0:1F80:C55B:4FF0:12A4:2BF7 (talk) 17:35, 11 July 2024 (UTC)[reply]
