Additions
[edit]Very nice additions, Nesher. Just two points:
- He was an adherent of the Kabbalah and an opponent of both "pilpul" and philosophy. The type of philosophy that he opposed should be clarified. He obviously held some philosophy, as this sentence mentions that he adhered to the Kabbalah.
- The only Rosh that I know that is commonly published with the Talmud is the work written by Rabbeinu Asher. Please clarify. HKT 20:52, 4 May 2006 (UTC)
Passing away date
[edit]The date on the Wikipedia page is different from the date on the headstone/metsavah. The date on the headstone is: נפטר שנת ת עשר'ם לחדש אדר This is 20 Adar 5400 which is 14 March 1640. The Wikipedia page shows 4 March 1640 as the date of death. Also, if you put the Hebrew date into the Calendar converter, you get the 14th of March.

Please, get involved only if you know Hebrew and also how the Hebrew calendar works. --50.209.48.53 (talk) 20:15, 25 February 2021 (UTC)
- Thank you for correcting this! I think the date on Wiki comes from Geni.com which is notoriously unreliable. I'm sure the date on his kever is the correct date. Ibn Daud (talk) 05:10, 26 February 2021 (UTC)
- Hi, Ibn Daud! I beielve we should run a check for many dates for the noble Hebrew people of the past and the calendar calculator might help a lot. --50.209.48.53 (talk) 19:30, 4 March 2021 (UTC)
