[edit]It seems to me a NYT obit is prima facie grounds for inclusion. In addition, a look at Google scholar indicates his significance. Kdammers 06:32, 14 August 2006 (UTC) Here is the opening text of speedy deletions: "The "Speedy deletion" policy governs limited cases where Wikipedia administrators may delete Wikipedia pages or media "on sight" without further debate, as in the cases of patent nonsense or pure vandalism." How does this even come near to applying? Kdammers 06:34, 14 August 2006 (UTC)
- Personally, I don't feel that a single NYT obit is grounds for inclusion into Wikipedia. But you are right, the speedy-delete was a bit premature. I've replaced it with a prod, which would give you 5 days to improve the article. Personally, I don't feel that the article as written asserts the importance of the individual. - It seems he's notable: google scholar

Prod deletion
[edit]Any further deletion attempts must be done with AFD. The prod was contested.--Kungfu Adam (talk) 14:25, 23 August 2006 (UTC)
