Stub
[edit]I personally think that this article is a stub. It's a biography, and is only a couple paragraphs long. I couldn't really find a category for the stub, however. If anyone can, feel free to do so. --Umalee 02:20, 2 February 2007 (UTC)
Vandalized
[edit]Some idiot changed some key stuff but it won't let me 'undo' the changes. Maybe someone better versed in this stuff could fix it? 71.233.241.251 (talk) 19:38, 23 November 2009 (UTC)
Joe Lewis had brain cancer?
[edit]The legendary martial artist Joe Lewis announced on his Facebook page recently that he had brain cancer and was given 6-8 weeks to live. TotallyTKD 31, p.4. Is it true information? — Preceding unsigned comment added by 188.127.21.255 (talk) 18:31, 18 September 2011 (UTC)
- It appears Lewis died of brain cancer after a 13 month battle. The cancer spread to his left should and hip before he passed away. The cause was reported by World Association of Kickboxing Organizations. I think the article should state it because I had to go off site to read about it. Re: 1970 rematch w/Ed Daniel
[edit]I just got off the phone w/Ed Daniel re: his rematch w/Joe Lewis/1971. Ed told me that the final score was 3 [Joe] to 2 [Ed] rather than 7-0. — Preceding unsigned comment added by 2602:306:3091:C770:21F:5BFF:FEEA:CD20 (talk) 19:45, 30 July 2015 (UTC)

Joe Louis made a movie in 2017 with Matt Mullins?
[edit]If he made a movie in 2017 and died in 2012, how is this explained? — Preceding unsigned comment added by 49.229.103.29 (talk) 02:35, 12 March 2019 (UTC)
Vietnam War service
[edit]The coverage on the Internet regarding Joe Lewis’ service in Vietnam appears unclear or incorrect in some cases. Some references say he was in Vietnam in 1963 and some say he deployed with the 8th Marine Brigade in 1965. It is possible he deployed with the 9th Marine Expeditionary Brigade in 1965, which was one of the the first Marine Corps unit in Vietnam. Joe Lewis mentions his time serving in the Marines in Okinawa during an interview, but does not mention Vietnam. This article could benefit from accurate information with a reliable reference regarding his service in the Vietnam War. Semper Fi! FieldMarine (talk) 13:35, 27 July 2019 (UTC)
