He was called "Joe Horlen" to some extent, but "Joel Horlen" probably at least as often if not more, and since that's also his correct name the article should be under that name. Herostratus (talk) 00:35, 17 April 2011 (UTC)[reply]
Looking at this Ngram, it looks like they decided to (more) call him "Joe" when he first came up, and that persisted somewhat while he was active, but since retirement it's been mostly "Joel". --Herostratus (talk) 01:40, 2 May 2015 (UTC)[reply]
