Joao vs João
[edit]Under the Wikipedia:Manual of Style § Spelling and romanization guidelines, "The use of diacritics for foreign words is neither encouraged nor discouraged; their usage depends on whether they appear in verifiable reliable sources in English". Furthermore, "For a foreign name, phrase, or word, adopt the spelling most commonly used in English-language reliable sources, including but not limited to those already cited in the article."
Therefore, since most media sources (including ones linked to in this article), his IMDB page, his Instagram page, the film posters for his works (e.g. He's Into Her and My Lockdown Romance), his profile in his agency Cornerstone Entertainment's website, etc. do not use the accent, this article should use the name Joao rather than João. Please discuss here if there is a disagreement rather than immediately moving the page. Thank you! Koikefan (talk) 19:00, 7 August 2021 (UTC)
