Voting totals
[edit]Note that the votes by party appear to be erroneous. DA Sonnenfeld (talk) 01:22, 29 June 2014 (UTC)
- Looking at this article on the 2005 election results, it is clear what the problem is: numbers of votes listed are *total* counts for each candidate, not counts on that line of the ballot. Listing totals multiple times for candidates who are on more than one party line is confusing and inaccurate. The easiest way to resolve this would be to list totals and primary party affiliation only, with a footnote about multiple party lines. DA Sonnenfeld (talk) 15:48, 30 October 2018 (UTC)
- Have removed the double reporting of votes for 2005 and 2007. This resolves the apparent erroneous vote count problem. There remains room for improvement, however: it would be preferable to break out vote counts by party line. Not sure where (or whether) that data may be available.
