Partner
[edit]What does "partner mean in this entry? Business partner, romantic partner? Bmclaughlin9 (talk) 17:37, 1 June 2011 (UTC)
- I believe "partner" is a life partner which you would discover by following the link. I did not specify what it is since the obituary does not do so, and I tend to be careful about these things. Mhym (talk) 19:08, 1 June 2011 (UTC)
I wasn't asking you the question. Nor was I suggesting you or anyone else say something not verified. But if we aren't sure, he shouldn't be in the Category: LGBT writers from the United States.
I'm looking for an answer from someone who knows the answer and can help us say something accurate instead of using the fuzzy term "partner" which the life partner entry doesn't help us understand, since it may or not be used in a romantic sense. Bmclaughlin9 (talk) 19:33, 1 June 2011 (UTC)
- I would be ok with removing this cat. I added this automatically as I believed this to be the case, but if there is an objection, and no alternative RS that is probably prudent thing to do. Mhym (talk) 23:13, 1 June 2011 (UTC)
'Partner' in this case means 'life partner.' I am Aaron Mack Schloff. I lived with him from 1988 to 1991, and later served as his Legal Guardian. So Joachim can be included among the LGBT authors. It was I who supplied the info for the obit in the Forward. I will add to the main entry soon with more info. Thank you all for creating it. This my first contribution to wikipedia.
