This article should not be speedily deleted for lack of asserted importance because the subject is an longtime, established musician who has been creating work in Austin and across the country for over 30 years. Perhaps I should have sandboxed this entry, but I had great previous luck adding entries about other musicians of similar caliber, so I got a little cocky maybe :) I will continue to add citations to this entry in hopes of proving the artist's importance. Thanks! --Lasuprema (talk) 22:30, 4 March 2016 (UTC)[reply]
Strong Keep This article should not be speedily deleted for lack of asserted importance because she is a long-time musician in a noteworthy, seminal Americana band. She is part of the Bloodshot Records extended family. This article just needs development -- there's LOADS of press from the New York Times to Austin Chronicle to international news sources and books too. Her entry should not be deleted. -- Erika aka BrillLyle (talk) 00:10, 5 March 2016 (UTC)[reply]
@Adam9007: I have never had a good experience deleting the speedy tag myself. I thought that discussion was mandatory, from multiple editors. It's gone now, so I guess it will be fine now.... So non-issue? -- Erika aka BrillLyle (talk) 01:23, 5 March 2016 (UTC)[reply]
@BrillLyle: I removed it on the basis that there is a credible claim of significance. Discussion is not mandatory before removing speedy tags, though may in some cases be helpful. Non-issue, I hope so; I've recently had people complaining about my tag removals, though several editors have agreed with me. Adam9007 (talk) 01:27, 5 March 2016 (UTC)[reply]
