In 2005 he was committed to the maximum security mental institution Henry Bennett Center after constantly protesting issues with Police actions which led to serious charges. The charges were mostly dropped & a diagnosis from the hospital said "his delusions of grandeur have substance".

JoFF has had involvement & worked with several high profile protestors & campaigners including author Nicky Hager, activist Tame Iti & several others... he has worked with various agencies in the UK & NZ including OXFAM, Greenpeace, Peace Movement Aotearoa, ProjectX, Earth First & various independent movements.--118.92.67.88 (talk) 11:20, 29 July 2010 (UTC)
