This railway was the last railway using steam locomotives. I will supply more information if I have time. Sinolonghai 17:46, 16 March 2007 (UTC)
- If you don't want anyone else to add to it in the meantime, might I suggest you add an 'under construction' template? Sarc37 17:51, 16 March 2007 (UTC)
- The claim to be the last steam railway in the world is very far fetched, as I know of many many others. Possibly, it is the last major steam railway line, but not the last by itself. There are many smaller railways operating on steam and I'm sure many other developing countries still use steam as well. Poeloq 17:55, 16 March 2007 (UTC)
- It was indeed the last main steam line in the world, I will rewrite the article slightly to make this clearer. Poeloq 18:01, 16 March 2007 (UTC)
Trains December 2002 calls it "the last steam dynasty". It doesn't explicitly say it's the last main line steam, but it's certainly plausible for some definition of "main line". --NE2 17:18, 18 September 2008 (UTC)
- Trains February 2007 does explicitly call it "the end of mainline steam in China". --NE2 17:27, 18 September 2008 (UTC)
Here we are: Trains March 2005, p. 11 ("Harbinger in China"): "the last stand of mainline steam in the world". --NE2 16:08, 25 January 2009 (UTC)
Speedy Deletion
[edit]I would really hate to see this article go and therefor hope this article will not be deleted. It would be great if Sinolonghai could add some more information in due time! Poeloq 17:53, 16 March 2007 (UTC)
