Red Star
[edit]Did Jinky play the return leg after Stein had promised him he didn't have to? Two seasoned Celtic fans tell me he did, as the wily Stein told Jimmy that his skills needed to be seen in Belgrade? Camillus (talk) 19:07, 2 August 2006 (UTC)
It's true he did play in Belgrade. I believe that he did not fly there though. Winterbottom

Link to Sectarian Poem
[edit]I have removed the link to the poem "He Plays on the Pitches of Heaven" as it was a nasty bigoted, sectarian piece of nonsense of a kind which would have disgusted Jimmy, and indeed disgusted and offended the many thousands of Rangers fans who openly mourned the passing of Jinky.
Emlyn Hughes quote
[edit]This quote cannot be correct. the only time Jimmy played in a 2-0 win over England was in 1974, and at that time Alf Ramsay was no longer manager of England. (Joe Mercer was caretaker manager)157.203.43.103 (talk) 14:50, 14 September 2009 (UTC)

Career stats?
[edit]The article is badly lacking a stats table, as well as international goals. If nobody else has time over the next few days, I'll try to sort one out. Crowsus (talk) 11:25, 15 May 2018 (UTC)
