[edit]For the record "organizations" is spelled "organisations" in New Zealand, although we are attributing the quote to an American. Not sure if there is a rule about that... I presented "organisations" as appeared in North and South. ClaudeReigns 16:22, 22 April 2007 (UTC)
Headshot
[edit]This page still needs a good headshot for the infobox. If you own the copyright to a photo of James D. McCotter, please license it under GNU or Creative Commons so that it may be used in Wikipedia. ClaudeReigns 03:06, 27 April 2007 (UTC)
- I've added a photo under a fair-use rationale. It may not last. A free use picture is still desirable. ClaudeReigns 08:58, 27 April 2007 (UTC)
Not NPOV
[edit]Someone put one or two POV templates here and there, so I'll try to figure out what's wrong with the article, in my opinion, namely:
- the criticisms against McCotter isn't substantiated (described carefully) before criticized – the reader may have his/her hard time to estimate whether the allegations are true, or if it's kind of media hype,
- citations in References in "Churches That Abuse" Book section needed,
- the Media mogul doesn't describe his media career, it just lists the criticisms against it without explanation.
Truth is that some persons (like sometimes me) deserve much criticism, but in order to be encyclopedic, there must be some neutral description as a basis, then the criticisms and their counter-arguments (when existing) must come afterwards, so as to not disturb the general overview. Are concerns sufficiently addressed? Speak now or forever hold the mayo. ClaudeReigns (talk) 11:55, 11 December 2007 (UTC)
- The concerns are very well addresed, and the quality is very much improved. 1000 thanks! Said: Rursus ☻ 15:50, 11 December 2007 (UTC)
Andrew Purrier resort affair
[edit]I haven't seen any evidence of the notability of this dispute or the substatiation of this through reliable sources. I should tag this but I don't have my Bag of Tags handy. I can't use blogs as verification either. Has this been documented anywhere?? ClaudeReigns (talk) 00:42, 16 December 2007 (UTC)

Assessment comment
[edit]The comment(s) below were originally left at Talk:Jim McCotter/Comments, and are posted here for posterity. Following several discussions in past years, these subpages are now deprecated. The comments may be irrelevant or outdated; if so, please feel free to remove this section.
* has two graphics, but only full page shots for relevancy and no shots of the subject only
lacks a good headshot, does not detail any significant messages/speeches given at Great Commission International or previous, may have POV balance problems, and some details are still uncited. Have requested headshots from publishers and on talk page, will be able to produce references to GCI speeches which are online, should soon be able to give citations for stray details and can then request a peer review to assess POV. ClaudeReigns 03:31, 27 April 2007 (UTC) Media attention is now filling out, has headshot and three graphics. Recommend B class. ClaudeReigns (talk) 12:22, 25 February 2008 (UTC) |
