Any references to LGBT (specifically the "T") in this individual's biography is factually incorrect. The individual had no claim to, or is there any reference to activism for or on behalf of tran-sexual, transgender (aka Trans) or for the benefit of any individuals who suffer from gender dysphoria in his life story or biography. Jim Eagan's goal was to fight for the rights of the Gay & Lesbian community inclusively. In no way is there ANY evidence that his efforts were for or included those who suffer from gender disphoria which is not related to nor is in any way the same as sexual orientation.

- LGBT is the modern umbrella acronym that includes lesbian and gay activism of the past. Not only is it appropriate given it's 2018, it's needed in order to link to the other relevant articles (which reflect modern ways of referring to the various communities that are now considered part of the sexual minority struggle), as IVORK attempted to make clear to you. —Joeyconnick (talk) 03:46, 22 February 2018 (UTC)
- For a bit of probably unsurprising context on this thread (which I unfortunately didn't notice at the time), OP's "Vintage Gay Toronto" group on Facebook was, around the same time as this, embroiled in a controversy about the moderator's attempts to push transgender people out of the group on the grounds that they weren't part of the lesbian/gay community. At any rate, Joeyconnick and IVORK are correct about this — Wikipedia's practice on LGBTQ issues is not to segregate them in the manner demanded by OP. We'll certainly use a person's own choice of identity label for themselves, but we don't quadrantize the whole community in cases where the distinction isn't directly relevant.
