The result of the proposal was no consensus to move. --RegentsPark (My narrowboat) 12:29, 13 June 2009 (UTC)
Jim Drake (rugby league) → Jim Drake — over re-direct. Could not move it myself. Jeff79 (talk) 11:01, 5 June 2009 (UTC)
- Oppose. You neglected to explain that the redirect was created by you at the time of the nomination. I believe that Jim Drake the director with 5 emmmy nominations and who has been active since, I believe, the 1970s is more notable. So maybe Jim Drake should be a dab page. Vegaswikian (talk) 07:46, 6 June 2009 (UTC)
- Ok, but he would need an article for that. So far only one Jim Drake article exists, so it shouldn't have a bracketed disambiguator, right?--Jeff79 (talk) 10:07, 6 June 2009 (UTC)
- Oops, I stand corrected. An engineer's article has just been created.--Jeff79 (talk) 10:13, 6 June 2009 (UTC)
- This is a problem with badly placed articles. Readers who know that the other person is notable expect that the link points to the correct person. It is only when someone suggests a move like this and someone follows up to create dabbed links that readers realize that articles are missing. Then they get created. In any case, being the only article does not make that the primary usage. Vegaswikian (talk) 06:13, 7 June 2009 (UTC)
