As this article refers to Davies to be playing to the standard of Dan Rees and Frank Gordon (rugby player), then he may well have played for Swansea at the same time as them. Therefore this picture may well be him. FruitMonkey (talk) 14:16, 4 June 2010 (UTC)[reply]

Biographical details

[edit]

This is original research but it appears he was born James Jones Davies on 23 February 1882 (mother's maiden name Morgans) and lived at 10 Croft Street, Swansea. After returning to Swansea in the late 1930s (he's listed at the same address in the 1939 Register), he became a "car park proprietor" and died on 30 June 1971. The London Gazette entry relating to his death names him as a "Retired Football Team Trainer" which fits with the fact he was a trainer at Keighley in the early 1930s. He seemingly never married.
