Jim Clark (Alaska official) → Jim Clark (lawyer) – The present title is a result of a slew of undiscussed moves, meant to resolve a laundry list of biographical articles with a state-only disambiguator. Most if not all of these moves ignored the advice of WP:ATDAB to keep parenthetical disambiguators as short and sweet as possible. Too many articles currently have the parenthetical disambiguator "Alaska (job title)" when a shorter disambiguator or even a naturally disambiguated title would work instead. Furthermore, this is the only article on the entire encyclopedia with this exact disambiguator. The main argument against this is that the crux of his notability centers around the heightened attention he received for his role in the Murkowski administration almost 20 years ago. I'm not sure that outweighs the negatives of keeping the present title. RadioKAOS / Talk to me, Billy / Transmissions 03:35, 6 April 2022 (UTC)
- Leaning oppose. There are at least several people named "James Clark" who are or were lawyers. BD2412 T 06:26, 6 April 2022 (UTC)
- Oppose. Not known for being a lawwyer. The current disambiguator is fine. -- Necrothesp (talk) 12:30, 6 April 2022 (UTC)
