CHILDREN AND THE ENVIRONMENT

NO EARLY LIFE
[edit]Anyone know where Jill grew up and got her bachelor's? — Preceding unsigned comment added by Aecwriter (talk • contribs) 17:31, 16 March 2017 (UTC)
- Given that part of what makes her notable is a history of online stalking and harassment, that might be better left alone. - Bri (talk) 22:36, 16 March 2017 (UTC)

Garbled sentence
[edit]The following sentence: "Michelle Goldberg wrote in The Washington Post, said she had been "singled out by" men's rights groups for her criticism." makes little sense. Who "said"? The subject of "said" is missing, although I guess it was supposed to be Filipovic. Also, I read the cited article, Goldberg2015. I did not see Goldberg writing that Filipovic said "singled out by" anyone. Instead, Goldberg wrote "Once a woman is singled out by a men’s rights group...". This means the quotation apparently is being misused to imply it is specifically about Filipovic, which it is not. A later sentence in the paragraph does quote Filipovic, but not saying "singled out". This is a matter of responsible writing, of the sort we want in WP. N.B. I write this to answer User:Bri's request for explanation of my deletion. Zaslav (talk) 08:32, 20 December 2023 (UTC)
