Contested deletion

[edit]

This page should not be speedy deleted as an unambiguous copyright infringement, because... this has been updated. Dr. Jiliang Tang is my advisor and I was told I can directly use the information from his website. Given the fact that it seems even with the permission of the author (not sure how I can document this on this website) I am not allowed to use his text, I have since updated it accordingly. Furthermore, as the first commenter mentioned the lack of exact links to his awards and media, they are now included. Thank you. --Tsd5037 (talk) 02:01, 20 June 2020 (UTC)[reply]

Hello Tsd5037 -- Thanks for returning to this draft. I believe the subject might be notable and have just raised this with DGG, an Articles for Creation reviewer and admin who is an expert in assessing notability of academics. Meanwhile, please avoid adding wording intending to promote the subject, as it doesn't help establish whether the subject has reached the notability threshold, and can lead to deletion requests. Tsd5037, the advice you were given may not have been exact. You can use the ifnromation from the usbject;s website, and use the site as a reference, but you have to substantially reword it. to acvoidcopyvio and WP:Close paraphrase. But sometimes our copyright detection mprograms mistakenly pick up the list of publications as copyvio--that is not copyvio, because it can be expressed in no other way. Anyhow, I shall fix it in a day or so. DGG ( talk ) 06:58, 22 December 2020 (UTC)[reply]
