I'm unmerging this from Bartender. Other bars tools have their own pages, for example Cocktail shaker, Cocktail strainer, and Shot glass, it follows that Jigger would as well. —Preceding unsigned comment added by Spikex (talk • contribs) 17:42, 20 July 2006
Proposed Jigger and Double Jigger Merger
[edit]Double jigger was prodded for deletion due to non-encyclopedic tone. I cleaned it up a bit, but both articles are on the weak side (especially double jigger), so I think it makes the most sense to merge the information unique to the double jigger into the general jigger article. There might be some good general jigger information there, too. --Willscrlt (Talk·Cntrb) 00:50, 24 January 2007 (UTC)
Crap
[edit]"Certified mixologists are generally expected to work without a jigger; it is thought that only a manager or bar owner who does not trust the free-pouring capabilities of their employees would mandate their use, and it is a point of pride for the professional mixologist to be able to free-pour with precision." This paragraph is absolute tripe. Despite the fact that it's nothing but unreferenced opinion, it's also rubbish. In a lot of countries it is against the law not to use a measure/jigger and so those choosing not to use one will be nothing more that arogant show-ponies. But that's just unvarified, unreferenced fact wrapped up in my opinion, just like that paragraph.
Can I delete it?
