This is littered with WP:BAREURLS, I will work on cleaning this up.--AhmedFaizP (talk) 19:02, 2 October 2015 (UTC

I'm trying to finish the bare citations but I found one that Jho Low co-authored. Is that acceptable? The sentence it is supporting isn't promotional, nor is the citation, but wanted to know how anybody felt.--AhmedFaizP (talk) 21:28, 12 October 2015 (UTC)[reply]
Yes, it is potentially a usable source if the content is not unduly self serving. -- TRPoD aka The Red Pen of Doom 00:41, 13 October 2015 (UTC)[reply]

Is YouTube acceptable? I read the rules and it said depending on the channel and it is his foundation.--AhmedFaizP (talk) 15:32, 14 October 2015 (UTC)[reply]

Net Worth

[edit]

Is the entry "Net worth US$1,000" meaningful in some way I can't fathom? JohnHarris (talk) 17:26, 21 June 2017 (UTC)[reply]

Upset about Low

[edit]

On the off-chance our determined negative editor (ODNE) reads this, let me assure him/her that those of us who decline your attempts to express yourself on the article page will be the first to update the facts as they come to hand no matter how negative they may turn out to be with regard to the subject. No one will read WP at all if we just say whatever we want whenever we want. And ODNE can, of course, put in all the negatives he/she wants if/when the subject is convicted. sirlanz07:26, 23 June 2017 (UTC)[reply]

Please change 'Larry is also chairman and stockholder of Frenken Group, a company listed on the Singapore Stock Exchange.[11]' to was instead. His resignation was effective in August 2016, as you can see here Nirzazzi (talk) 03:21, 26 May 2018 (UTC)[reply]

Partly done: I removed the text completely because it referred to a position that was at a company with no apparent notability and the given citation failed verification. Eggishorn (talk) (contrib) 05:52, 26 May 2018 (UTC)[reply]

Politics

May 6, 2019 Indictment political influence-buying

[edit]

I suggest to add a paragraph about the DOJ's May 6, 2019 indictment. Which cited the alleged involvement of Jho Low. How about the draft paragraph below? I tried to include both point of views (POV), with their respective sources. With sources.

According to a May 6th, 2019 United States Department of Justice's indictment, Jho Low was allegedly involved in a conspiracy to gain access to, and potentially influence, Barack Obama's 2012 campaign. Without disclosing the foreign origins of the money funneled to Obama's Super PAC.[1] In response a spokesman for Low stated that “Mr. Low has never made any campaign contribution directly or indirectly in the United States”[2]

WP is not news. The Hill report is less than a sentence on Low. The Bloomberg report quotes unnamed sources on an indictment not yet laid. Wait till an indictment is made and then see what the reports say, with certainty, about the involvement of Low and, even if he is mentioned, we need to consider whether it is really indirect peripheral stuff that need not appear on the subject's page here. I suspect it is not sufficiently pertinent and, being an unproven accusation against another person, too remote for publication by WP (because, primarily, WP is not news). 03:32, 13 May 2019 (UTC)

What is this

[edit]

This whole article reads like a puff piece, and the writing in the social life section reading like a TMZ article — Preceding unsigned comment added by 114.23.207.65 (talk) 11:35, 18 December 2019 (UTC)[reply]

There are many critical remarks in the article now. — Preceding unsigned comment added by 81.147.142.111 (talk) 10:36, 14 March 2020 (UTC)[reply]

Indeed, a puff piece. I fixed some lies or claims not in the reffed source.

I suspect COI at work here.
