Minor cast members

[edit]

They really don't need to be listed twice. Do they? They are listed now in the "Cast" section at the top. And also in the "Casting" section at the bottom. Thoughts? Thanks. 32.209.55.38 (talk) 13:48, 2 April 2018 (UTC)[reply]

WP:FILMCAST seems vague but uses a lot of "ors". Frankly, I would gut it all and just follow the 1973 film example. — Wyliepedia @ 16:42, 2 April 2018 (UTC)[reply]
I want to point out that Hairspray Live!, The Wiz Live!, Peter Pan Live!, and Grease: Live include ensemble cast members, as well as various pages for Broadway musicals. I think it could boil down to whether this should be considered a film or a theatrical performance, and precedent suggests the latter. --Muppet321 (talk) 23:07, 17 April 2018 (UTC)[reply]

Verb tense

[edit]

Many verb tenses need to be changed to reflect that the show is now completed. It is no longer "anticipated", as when this article was first created. For example, in the "Filming" section:

The live production is expected to include an on-camera audience of about 1,500 people. Some of those extras will line two sides of the stage and form a sort-of mosh pit. The production was expected to utilize as many as twelve cameras to film the special. (Emphasis added by me.) Thanks. 32.209.55.38 (talk) 13:51, 2 April 2018 (UTC)[reply]

Plot outline

[edit]

A couple problems with the plot outline. It's a pretty transparent paraphrasing of the source and so kind of violates WP:COPY. I would remove it or completely rewrite it. Second, yeah, the source is wrong. Judas goes to Ciaiaphas, Annas, and the priests in the musical, not the Romans. Maybe there's a more accurate plot summary somewhere. -Jordgette [talk] 00:27, 4 April 2018 (UTC)[reply]

I wasn't sure if that was the case in the plot of the musical or not. As far as paraphrasing goes, my understanding is that it is ok so far as it is "limited close paraphrasing". Most articles contain information from various sources, as they should, and such information must be synthesized and put into one's own words when included in the article (see Wikipedia:Close paraphrasing). I will say, however, that I wouldn't be opposed to someone just going ahead and rewriting the plot summary entirely. Thanks for your insight regarding the plot! – BoogerD (talk) 06:04, 4 April 2018 (UTC)[reply]

Trimming for concision

[edit]

It definitely wasn't my intention to remove any info--BoogerD, do you mind pointing out what's gone missing? Thanks. Innisfree987 (talk) 20:00, 12 July 2018 (UTC)[reply]
