Largest?
The article says "Jessops is Britain's largest photographic retailer". Shouldn't this read "...largest specialist photographic retailer"? I imagine Boots is larger in at some measures (amount of film processed, number of branches) and I'd guess Dixons sells more cameras (I stand to be corrected on both, naturally). -- Finlay McWalter | Talk 16:51, August 21, 2005 (UTC)

The article has now been changed to "largest specialist photographic retailer". However, as of January 2013, would that not have to be changed from "Jssops is Britain's largest specialist photographic retailer" to "Jessops was Britain's largest specialist photographic retailer", as it has been in the news today (January 10 2013) that this company have just gone into administration, as indeed the article itself points out? After all, the article on Comet_Group does use the past tense to refer to the sellers of electrical goods that have now gone into administration! ACEOREVIVED (talk) 16:49, 10 January 2013 (UTC)
Removal of content 11 April 2011
Approximately 55% of this page (-3,227 bytes) was removed by an SPA (only 2 edits; both to this page.) See here. In some areas no text, only refs were deleted. Mostly info about financial problems, and past job cuts is gone, so I see this as possibly a bit of whitewashing. Some of this information may still be relevant now that the company has gone 'bust'. - 220 of Borg 10:08, 12 January 2013 (UTC)
Excellent point, I think that this text should be restored.Dingowasher (talk) 15:33, 12 January 2013 (UTC)
- One of our 'Pommy'() editors would be more familiar with the subject, maybe they should sort it out. You can if you wish. Nice to see someone took notice of my (I presume) edit summary. Ah!, I see you've edited 'here' before! (Woof!) - 220 of Borg 02:19, 13 January 2013 (UTC)

Jessops is now under CeWe colors ltd. --Tyw7 (☎ Contact me! • Contributions) 22:33, 19 March 2013 (UTC)
- Please provide a ref for this. Most sources say that CeWe is a supplier for their photobook printing service - this doesn't make Jessops "under" CeWe. Halsteadk (talk) 00:39, 16 March 2013 (UTC)

Just had this email (as they say watch this space)
"As a past customer of Jessops Photo, we wanted to thank you for your custom and support and update you with information on what is happening with the company now.
Jessops went into administration on 9 January 2013, however the good news is that the online photo business has been acquired by CeWe Color Ltd, who previously provided the photo service on behalf of Jessops. CeWe Color will continue to provide the service under license as Jessops Photo. At the moment, access to Jessops Photo is only available online but we are exploring a return to the high street and we'll keep you updated on that.
Once again, we'd like to thank you for your custom and support.
Kind regards,"
Please be advised that the Jessops Photo database was transferred to CeWe Color Ltd on 02/03/13. If you have any enquiries please feel free to contact us. Rest assured your information will only be used to continue providing the same great photo service you have always enjoyed.

8 mentions of the name 2 hyperlinked seem a bit much, likewise Dragon's Den is nothing to do with Jessops, whereas the article makes no mention of things like Jessops rapid predatory growth opening branches near establishd photo shops in many towns in former years Iroberts696 (talk) 18:23, 29 September 2013 (UTC)
